League News/Results - Week 4
Is the phoenix rising??
Ballarat finally pulled their socks up and managed to bring down Le French in a closely fought evening of spectacular tennis. It was nip and tuck all evening with Ballarrat finally coming out on top 4-3. The lunes was hit twice by Jason Hirama who also did a fine job captaining his team for the first time, and bringing cheese and fresh baguettes.
Beth rustled up a delicious veal curry cous cous concoction and the rest of us had a sweet tooth with cookies being the order of the day.
We were also able to give the Chairman of the British Army Tennis and Racquets Association a great evening. He guested for Fontainbleau and pulled a thrilling victory out of the bag.
Manchester had 4 of their team in attendance and Billy Duval brought some very tasty English Ale - what a top man!! Jean Pierre was here for us too and brilliantly marked for some bonus points!!
Ballarat only managed to scrape together 5 members of their squad but they performed heroically so it worked out well for them.
Fontainebleau flooded the club with team members - 10 in all so a great show from them.
PARTY NIGHT This week is being hosted by Fontainebleau in an attempt to persuade us that all things French are beautiful??? The theme is France/French anything so let's get the placing rocking - remember big bonus points are available for creativity.
The competition will be between Ballarat and Manchester but I'm sure we'll allow some of the French to play for providing such a good event??
Can the Aussies keep improving?
