League News/Results - Week 8
Here we are half way through the season and it's nip n tuck!!
Ballarat it seems are beginning to growl (quietly!) and when we couple this with their continued creativity
(boomerangs, Aussie wines and beers, outback hats and coats) they are managing to keep themselves
in the hunt.
They won last week 4 matches to 3 against a very generous Manchester team who in true British spirit
eased off on the gas and allowed them back in!!
We had 2 new members attend Scott Lurding and Nick Swezey who will fit in perfectly to our wonderful
club - thank you very much to both of them for ensuring my safe return home that evening!!
This week's battle is between a cool, stylish, debonair, suave, tempestuous and passionate team and the
French!!! This is a massive week because 1 of them can really surge ahead - it will no doubt be Manchester?!
Are you coming to practice for the US National Mixed Doubles? It is also the Anne Boleyn this weekend
and I hope you will try to come and support our representatives?
